Short answer

Everpaper 2.0.0-b101 adds a launcher on Option-Space that finds apps, files, commands and everything Everpaper remembers, clipboard history that is on by default for 7 days, Dictate on the fn key for Italian and English, and a journal that checks its own dates and names. It is a private beta build for macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon.

Build 2.0.0-b101 is the current private beta. This is what changed, in the words the release notes use, with the limits spelled out.

A launcher on Option-Space

Press ⌥Space anywhere and type. The launcher finds apps, Settings panes, commands, files and what is inside them, images, a quick calculation, and everything Everpaper remembers. When nothing matches, it offers a web search. You can change the shortcut in Settings.

It is the same box you use to ask your memory a question, so a query can return a file, a screenshot from last Tuesday, or the minute of a meeting.

Clipboard history

The launcher also keeps what you copy, so you can paste something from earlier. It is on by default and keeps copies for 7 days. It stays on your Mac. It skips passwords that apps mark as secret, private windows it can detect, and the apps and sites you skip. Everpaper tells you once and lets you turn it off then, or later in Settings. For how it compares with Spotlight, Raycast and Alfred, see Mac launchers with clipboard history.

Dictate on fn

Hold fn, speak, let go, and your words land where the cursor is. It works in Italian and English, and a sentence that mixes the two stays as you said it. It runs on your Mac with the speech model you already have, never downloads anything on its own, and is off until you turn it on in setup or in Settings under Dictation. Turning it on asks for the microphone. A dictation on a day without a journal now shows up in the history. Compared with other apps: best dictation apps for Mac.

A journal that knows the date

The journal now knows today’s date and the week around it, so “yesterday”, “next Friday” or “5-9 Oct” become real dates instead of guesses. After writing, Everpaper checks the dates and names in the entry against what you did that day. If one is not in the record, it asks the AI once to rewrite that part and keeps the tone. On very full days the check may be skipped and the entry is kept as written.

Also in b101

A new design runs through the whole app: the soft glass and warm paper of the setup pages, with the same places and names. Fixes include a crash in the on-device sentence model, a journal digest that retried for hours and now gives up cleanly, and setup options that answer VoiceOver.

Frequently asked questions

How do I open the Everpaper launcher?

Press Option-Space from any app and type. You can change the shortcut in Settings under General.

Is clipboard history on by default?

Yes. It keeps copies for 7 days, stays on your Mac, skips passwords that apps mark as secret, private windows it can detect, and the apps and sites you skip. Everpaper tells you once and lets you turn it off on the spot or later in Settings.

Which languages does Dictate support?

Italian and English. A sentence that mixes the two stays as you said it, because the clean-up step no longer translates the smaller language.

Does Dictate download anything or send audio anywhere?

It runs on your Mac with the speech model you already have and never downloads anything on its own. It is off until you turn it on, in setup or in Settings under Dictation, and turning it on asks for the microphone.
