How we write comparisons: sources, dates and disclosure

Short answer

Everpaper makes one of the products in most of our comparisons, so we hold the articles to a fixed method. A competitor fact goes in only if we read it on the vendor's own page or a primary source, it carries the month we checked it, and the source is linked at the foot of the article. If we cannot verify a fact, we leave it out.

What goes in

A competitor fact is a price, a plan limit, a platform, a language list, an acquisition, a shutdown, or a statement about where data goes. Each one is read on the vendor’s own site, documentation or filing, or on a primary source such as a court order or a model card.

Each article shows “Facts as of” with a month at the top and links its sources at the foot. Prices are the ones a US visitor sees, in US dollars, without promotions.

What stays out

We leave out anything we could not check. If a pricing page hides a number, the article says the plan exists and gives no price. Reviews and forum posts are not used as the source for a fact about a product. Claims about what a company does inside its servers are quoted from its own security or privacy page, with the page linked.

Everpaper in the comparisons

Everpaper is our product. It appears in the lists where it fits, with its limits stated: it needs macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon, it is in private beta with no public price, and it is not a note editor. Facts about Everpaper come from its own documentation and release notes.

We do not rank by affiliate payment. There are no affiliate links in these articles.

Dates

The updated date on an article changes when we change a fact or add content. It does not change for typos. The sitemap uses the same date.

Corrections

Write to marco@everpaper.app. A correction with a link to the vendor’s page is fixed and dated.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Everpaper in its own comparisons?

Because the comparisons are about memory, meeting and note apps, and Everpaper is one. We say so at the top of each article and list where it falls short, including the platforms it does not run on.

How often are articles updated?

Prices and features change faster than articles do, so each comparison shows the month its competitor facts were last checked and an updated date. When a fact changes we correct it and move the date.

How do I report a mistake?

Write to marco@everpaper.app with the article and the line. A correction with a link to the vendor's page is fixed and dated.
